Chandigarh Housing Board recently release self financing housing scheme for Sector 53. CHB start a demand survey in which they announce 372 flats in different categories. In this demand survey the whole project will be financed by the allotees. Now the demand survey is closed and approximately 6300 applications are received by Chandigarh housing board for these 372 flats.

Chandigarh housing board is going to build a new self-financing project in sector 53. In this project, 3 BHK to BHK and economically weak section flats are distributed in the scheme. In sub scheme A, 3 BHK flats, the number is 192. In sub scheme B for 2BHK flats, the total number of units is 100. The economically weak section comes under sub-section C in which 80 units will be distributed. Old distribution will be conducted through the computerized draw.

This is the first time when Chandigarh Housing Board is getting a very good response in the financing housing scheme sector 53. Survey was started on the 22nd of February. Now the survey process is completed and 1000 applications have been received for the economically weak section. The remaining applications are for HIG and MIG flats.

70% of the applications are only for the HIG flats. The application deposit amount is 10000 rupees each for the high income group and the middle income group units. Economically weak section deposit amount is 5000 rupees. This amount will be adjusted in the earnest money deposit after the launch of the scheme. In case any applicant does not want to continue with this housing scheme, then their deposit amount will be forfeited.
